Glock 23

This was so revolutionary at the chronology that Remington dyed the plastic brown to resemble timberland and fitted a cosmetic sheet-metal cover on the receiver to make it appear to be unreal from steel. Further, the most huge use of polymers in a handgun was in the Ram-Line Syn Tech Exactor six-shooter with a firkin factitious from steel-lined plastic.

Founded in 1963, Glock started out as a manufacturer of curtain rods before branching out into the ordnance industry in the 1970s, manufacturing motor Glock 23 gun belts, tradition hand grenades, plastic magazines, field knives, and entrenching tools for the Austrian Army. When, in the early 1980s, the Austrian Army requested a pistol model, Glock responded with the Glock 17, a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.
